Hello, I’m Andy. Artist / writer / producer / mixer, mainly working from a comfortable studio in the east end of Glasgow.
As a member of Frightened Rabbit, I was a multi-instrumentalist and contributing producer, in the studio and on stage. Having been on both sides of the recording glass I’m keen to create comfortable spaces for artists to be themselves.
I’ve worked on a myriad of projects from from up-and-coming songwriters to established alternative icons. With releases on Atlantic, FatCat, Canvasback, Melodic, BigScaryMonsters, Cooking Vinyl and more helping artists from seed to master, bring their unique vision to life.
I love distortion, I love it clean, maximalism, minimalism - whatever works - it's what's coming out the speakers that matters and getting to a point real emotion is being communicated.
I do in person and remote sessions with artists in Glasgow - I also travel regularly around the UK and europe and I am as comfortable in a world class studio as I am creating in a barn in the middle of nowhere with my small setup.
I started Monohands Records to release music I believe in - Fiskur, Jill Lorean and Lewis McLaughlin.
